Intermediate to Advanced
Artable have partnered with SENIOR ART SUPPLIES to deliver a range of workshops in Melbourne.
Artable is Australian owned and operated by artists for artists. We specialise in connecting the best Australian artists with those who want to paint, have fun & learn with them.
It's your turn to see what all the fuss is about - Don't miss out!
Level: Intermediate to Advanced
This doesn't mean you have to be an amazing painter, it just means that we will not be covering the basics like what brushes, paints, clean up are required and you will need to have some knowledge around colour mixing and warm/cool hues. If you are unsure about your level of painting, just reach out to us.
What to expect:
Through studies and visual exercises, artists will get out of their routine and see new possibilities in colour, value, ‘keying’ a painting, and composition. A quick glance at David's work and you will notice that he can make the most mundane subject come alive with his use of subtle light and clever colour choices. This workshop is about taking your painting to the next level. Beyond just capturing what you see, you will be encouraged to move towards better decision making when it comes to creating compositions and the use of ‘keying’ a painting.
David believes strongly in getting beyond the traditional 'watch while I paint' workshop model, and instead creates a hands-on experience where artists can learn new ways of studying and creating which can then be taken back into their individual studios and applied in ways that are both personal and transformative.
